The Board of Education acknowledges safety for students and staff is always the number one priority. There may be times when a student’s behavior escalates to the point where the student’s actions present an immediate potential for causing harm to persons or property. Every effort should be made to prevent the need for the use of restraints or seclusion. However, recognizing there may be times when those techniques are required, the Board of Education adopted policy governing their use.
