On Friday, January 3rd the Solomon high school basketball girls traveled to Burrton. This game was rescheduled once because of a power outage and the second time because of a snow storm. Everyone says the third time's the charm! The varsity girls played hard but came out on the losing end with a final score of 28-40. The JV girls came out with a win of 26-18. When talking to Coach Douglas he said, “The girls did a great job of showing up for all of practice over Christmas break and I’m very proud of that because it allowed us to get better as a team. Some of the fundamentals we worked on carried over to the game on Friday. Other items need some more repetition but we are seeing improvement, which is a good thing.” The next basketball game is January 7th at Rural Vista.
