On Friday, August 27th the Solomon High School Football team hosted their preseason Jamboree. Solomon hosted the following teams: Wichita County, Canton-Galva, and Peabody-Burns.
When Coach Kilgore was asked about his preseason practices and what he is most looking forward to for the rest of the season he said, “Based on our preseason practices, we are looking to play as a team and set the standard for the rest of the season.” We also asked him what his team’s strong suit or best area at the Jamboree was and his response was, “We had a great night going against the other teams. Players stepped up and did some really great things. It’s nice to get some actual game time under our belt before opening up with game one. Our strong suit is that we have great leadership in our upperclassmen.”
The Gorillas will be at home to take on Rural Vista for their next game on Friday, September 3rd.
The game will be available via live stream on the Solomon High School Sports
Network YouTube channel.
