Voting Matters

Dear Patrons,

November 6th is the General Election in our state and your vote can make a difference for Kansas schools.  All elections are important as it is our civic duty to voice our choice for the future.  From local, county, state, or national races all positions will have an impact on a citizens’ future.  Make sure you have a voice in that future.

Whether you plan to vote in person or by advance ballot, there are a few dates you will need to keep in mind:

  1. October 16th is the voter registration deadline. To confirm your registration is current, visit www.ksvotes.org.
  2. October 17th – November 5th is the timeframe in which you can cast your vote early via an advance ballot or at the courthouse in your county.
  3. October 30th is the last day to request an advance ballot; you can submit your request online at ksvotes.org.
  4. November 6th is Election Day! Vote in person at your designated polling place.

If you are unsure of what to do and need an exact step by step process you can visit https://www.ksvotingplan.org This will give you every step necessary to make sure your vote counts come election day.

Make your plan now to ensure your voice is heard this November, and encourage your friends, family members and coworkers to do the same.

Sincerely,
