The USD 393 STEM department received a grant from the Dickinson County Foundation that allowed them to purchase a Maker Space. A Maker Space is an activity cart that contains over 40 STEM projects that can support hundreds of students. This activity cart also contains a pallet of replacement supplies. A Maker Space will allow students to use and develop critical thinking skills and engineering, while doing things that they may enjoy. A Maker Space will also allow student opportunities for real world application that can then be reflected upon to see the importance of it. Students will learn science and engineering concepts through experimentation and grow their understanding with the projects provided in the activity cart.
